Vinkällan now offers the exclusive training Italian Wine Scholar™, IWS, from the organization Wine Scholar Guild based in Washington. IWS takes your knowledge as a sommelier to new heights so don't miss this course.
The Wine Scholar Guild is an education aimed at higher education in wine. With us, you can study French Wine Scholar™ and Italian Wine Scholar™, a course that immerses you in the wine and regions of France and/or Italy, even the lesser known ones.
Italian Wine Scholar is divided into two Units (North & South). You will recieve two books and a e-learning plattform for the course and there are two separate exams on the 21st of january 2026.
ATTENTION! The course is in Swedish, but the material and the examination are in English.
After completing the course and passing the examination, you get a diploma and a pin to show your knowledge.
2025/2026: (10.00-16:00)
Day 1 (17 sep): Whites & Sparkling - Emilia-Romagnia, Lombardy, Marche, Alto Adige & Friuli-Venezia Guilia
Day 2 (15 oct): Rural Italy - Umbria, Abruzzo, Campagnia, Puglia, Sicily & Sardignia
Day 3 (12 nov): Battle of the Giants - Piedmont, Veneto & Tuscany
Day 4 (21 jan): Exam 1 & 2
In the price, everyhting is included, sush as wine, lunch & studymaterials.
Time and place: 10:00-16:00 at Tellusborgsvägen 69, Hägersten.
